In 2075, humanity has already saved the world once. When mysterious biological adaptations begin destabilizing a restored Earth and make her grandson ill, a 92-year-old scientist must confront the planetary intelligence she helped create and discover whether saving the future means controlling change, or learning how to evolve with it.
