Brand Stories

Corporate Videos Don't Have to Feel Corporate.

Brands have extraordinary stories. The problem is that too many still tell them as if people were obligated to listen.

We have seen it hundreds of times.

A company wants to tell its story. There are the offices, the smiling employees, a drone flying over the facilities and a solemn voice explaining that they are leaders, innovators and committed to the future.

Everything perfectly produced.

And yet, very little worth remembering.

It is not that companies do not have good stories. It is that they often hide them behind corporate language.

And meanwhile, audiences changed.

Today attention is not demanded. It is earned.

We live surrounded by content. Films, series, reels, podcasts, creators, platforms and thousands of stories competing for our time.

People can leave a video in seconds. But they can also give several minutes to a story that genuinely interests them.

The difference is not only how long it lasts.

It is in what it makes us feel.

A brand should no longer ask only what it wants to communicate. It should also ask why anyone would want to watch it.

That is where everything changes.

Storytelling: when we stop talking about the company and start telling a story.

Imagine two ways of presenting a company that has spent decades transforming an industry.

The first begins by saying when it was founded, how many employees it has and how many countries it operates in.

The second begins with a person facing a problem. Something is at stake. There is a dream, an obstacle, a decision.

And we discover little by little how that company is part of the solution.

The information can be the same.

The experience is completely different.

Storytelling is not simply adding emotional music to a presentation.

It is about finding characters, conflicts, aspirations and emotions that allow a story to connect with the life of the person watching it.

People connect with stories, not with lists of attributes.

Branded content: when a brand stops interrupting and starts entertaining.

For years, a large part of advertising was built around interrupting content that people actually wanted to consume.

Today brands have another option: creating content that has value in itself.

A short film. A documentary series. A human story. An audiovisual experience. A narrative universe built around one idea.

That is part of the potential of branded content.

A brand can be present without necessarily becoming the protagonist of every scene.

It can entertain, move, inform or spark curiosity.

And it does not mean traditional commercials stopped working. It means there are new ways of building relationships with audiences.

Not every story needs to sell something immediately.

Some can achieve something just as important: making a brand stay in memory.

That is the ground of our branded content and brand film production.

And then artificial intelligence arrived.

This is where the possibilities become especially interesting.

For a long time, certain audiovisual ideas demanded budgets that many companies simply could not assume.

Recreating other eras. Building impossible settings. Developing entire worlds. Producing multiple versions of a campaign.

Today artificial intelligence is transforming part of that process.

It makes it possible to explore visual concepts, develop settings, experiment with new narratives and produce images that used to require considerable resources.

And yes, in certain projects it can reduce costs and production time.

But there is something we should not confuse.

Just because it is now easier to produce extraordinary images does not mean it is easier to tell a good story.

AI also demands direction, judgement, narrative coherence, sound design, editing and creative control.

And it is not always the most economical solution. There are productions where product accuracy, character consistency or revision cycles can make the process complex.

The revolution is not simply about doing the same thing for less money.

It is about discovering which stories we can tell now that used to seem out of reach.

It is where we develop our audiovisual production with artificial intelligence.

One story. Many screens. Different ways of connecting.

A brand film can have a three minute main version, a thirty second piece, several vertical cuts and small fragments designed for different moments of a campaign.

But that does not mean cutting the same video indiscriminately.

Every format has its own language.

A story can be discovered on social media, developed on YouTube and find another life in a business presentation or a brand experience.

Technology widens the possibilities of production and adaptation.

Strategy is about understanding where our audience is and what we want them to feel, remember or do.

The future of corporate communication has far more cinema in it.

Companies have stories waiting to be discovered.

People who made difficult decisions. Entrepreneurs who started with an idea. Teams that transformed industries. Projects that seemed impossible. Stories that deserve more than an institutional presentation.

Not all of them need to become epic films.

But all of them deserve that we ask ourselves whether there is a more interesting way of telling them.

At Butaka we have been exploring new narratives, formats and technologies since 2009.

Today we work with traditional film production and artificial intelligence, because we do not believe a tool should decide the limit of a story.

A significant part of that work is our corporate film production.

We did not start innovating when artificial intelligence arrived. We have been doing it since 2009.

And perhaps the next great brand film will not begin with an agency proposing a commercial.

Perhaps it will begin with a company discovering that it has an extraordinary story to tell.

The projects we have produced are the clearest picture of how we apply this logic.
